SergisDAO P2E Guild Interviews: Lars Andersson
The P2E Guild is a pure gem of the SergisDAO community. We are extremely proud of our members and the success they achieve on a daily basis by playing Cryptobots, Drunk Robots, and Thetan Arena. Lars Andersson (Lars Andersson | SergisDAO#3788 on Discord) holds the title of a true overachiever in our Guild since he participates in all three alliances and consistently manages to put in a proper performance. Check out our interview with Lars about his Guild experience and impressions of being part of the SergisDAO community.
Hello, Lars! We are excited to talk to you! Could you please introduce yourself and share a little about your life and your gaming background?
Hi, my name is Lars and I am 22 years old. Currently, I am pursuing an undergrad degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
My gaming path had begun long before I discovered what games were and how they were made. Specifically, it started back in 2005–2006. One of my family members had a basic Nokia phone back then and I used it to play the simple Snake game. A year later I got my first handheld console that featured numerous brick games, and my favorite of them was, of course, Tetris. It was an amazing experience for me as a kid, and it got me interested in computers. In 2016 I got my first personal computer. Since then I’ve played over 30 different titles, including Far Cry and Call of Duty. I also spend quite some time playing Android games, such as Clash of Clans. The latest game that I enjoyed playing was Valorant.
Why did you decide to join our Guild?
Well, it is quite an interesting and funny story. When I joined the server, I did not even know you had a gaming guild. One day, I noticed some of the members got an eye-catching role color in their Discord name. It got me interested and later I discovered that SergisDAO launched its first P2E alliance in Drunk Robots. I instantly messaged Rast (he is the head of SergisDAO Guild), and he helped me to get my first-ever P2E experience. That is right, I was a complete novice to P2E games but I still got the gig.
What makes our Guild different from the others?
As I just mentioned, this is my first ever P2E experience. I have not been in any other P2E guild. Yet, one thing I can say is that all the guild players are supportive of one another. For instance, Rast and several other Guild members helped me to understand Drunk Robots’ mechanics when I was learning the ropes.
Tell us about the specifics of Drunk Robots and Thetan Arena that make your gaming experience fun.
I can tell you many hilarious stories about my experience playing these titles. One time, in Drunk Robots I got into a battle with our Guild Head Rast. It really made me laugh. I was like, “Will I lose my job for fighting against my boss?”
In Thetan Arena, the most enjoyable moments are when we play together with other Guild members and join a voice chat. We can call out the strategy in real-time. During games, we often shout things like, “Go!” and “Fall back!” It is quite funny, you know.
The other day Stephen (one of our Guild members) and I were playing together, and we both were low in HP. Just as we went to get an airdrop, a giant bomb appeared and killed us both! It may not sound funny now but I laughed my head off during that moment.
Share your experience of being a member of our Guild. What do you like most about us? What makes you play in both alliances? Is there anything you’d like to improve or recommend?
My experience of being a member of SergisDAO Guild is quite positive. This is my first ever P2E experience, and it is enjoyable so far. Everyone in the community is helpful and willing to share advice. In Drunk Robots, the game algorithm plays by itself, so in 24 hours, it only needs my attention two times, in the morning and in the evening. Thetan Arena requires more time, as it focuses on team-based gameplay. I would recommend that Guild members play together as much as possible since it helps to win battles easily.
Now that we’ve invited you to join our alliance in Cryptobots, share your thoughts about it, too.
Firstly, I would like to thank you all for giving me a chance to play Cryptobots. The announcement was totally unexpected. It is my 3d day as a Cryptobots player and I can tell you that it is not a team game like Thetan Arena. In Cryptobots, your success depends completely on your solo efforts. In every battle, I need to find the best bot and skill to use, as a wrong decision can take away the win. I like the game but its matchmaking system is rather slow. I wonder how I will finish my first week in Cryptobots. Wish me luck!
What do you think about the rewards in our Guild?
Well, playing games is one of my hobbies and I am always looking for fun. 25% of $METAL earned in Drunk Robots is ok, I suppose. Honestly, I did not even look at the rewards of the other two games. If playing ceases to bring me joy, I will resign instantly and some other member will fill in the gap. Yet, I am enjoying it so far. Thetan Arena has the lowest amount of rewards, I heard, but this one is the most enjoyable title for me for now.
Have you tried other activities in our community (other than gaming)?
Yes, I have been performing tasks since I joined the server. I have not applied for any Freelance Marketplace jobs yet, because there are so many experienced and talented people around. This is one of the things that make SergisDAO different from similar communities; it is filled with talented people.
Share your final word about/to SergisDAO.
For now, this is the best community I have been to on the Internet. I have been a member for 2–2.5 months and I have never seen this server go inactive. Another thing I want to mention is how humble you guys are. I recall that on one occasion, there were lots of new people who joined the server at the same time and they sent tons of messages. Some of the members got angry about it including me because of spamming. But the way you guys handled the matter was impressive. You guys told us not to be rude to them and simply let them get used to the environment of the SergisDAO server.
The way you guys help the members and how much time you spend on it is just incredible!
I wish you all good luck.
